Rock Play

In this kinetic piece, movement is instigated by a six rpm motor, which drives the rotating planes into action. Resembling a solar system, and inspired by the works of Calder and his circus, this work attempts to bring my rock collection to life. The arrangement of these rocks loosely represents the rock cycle, and is a nod to my other field of study in college, Earth Science.
